What do we do?
We provide end-to-end retrofit solutions to domestic properties throughout the UK, improving the energy efficiency of homes, reducing carbon emissions and reducing fuel bills
Our vision is to bridge the gap between Fuel Poverty and Net Zero in the domestic owner-occupied, private-rented and social-rented markets.
We are keen to work with local supply chain and third sector organisations in our delivery, building on existing community relationships.
Goals we work towards
Fuel Poverty
The Energy Savings Trust defines a fuel poor household in England as a property where the energy efficiency rating is a band D or below and after paying heating bills, the residual household income is below the official poverty line. In broader terms, this can be defined as a household where fuel costs are more than 10% of the household’s net income.
The volume of households in fuel poverty is increasing as a result of the energy crisis. Energy efficiency is a key driver of fuel poverty as inefficient homes drive up the costs required to heat a home to a satisfactory level.
Net Zero
In June 2019, the UK became the first major economy to pass legislation that commits the country to Net Zero emissions by 2050. The term net zero means achieving a balance between the carbon emitted into the atmosphere, and the carbon removed from it. This balance – or net zero – will happen when the amount of carbon we add to the atmosphere is no more than the amount removed.
To meet Net Zero targets, emissions from homes, transport, agriculture and industry need to be cut. We need to change how homes in the UK contribute to carbon emissions by increasing their efficiency.
